The Flavours of the Vallon (gourmet walk)

Presentation

Set off to explore the magnificent Vallon de Réchy on a gourmet walk showcasing the flavours of the Valais region. Along this accessible 12.5 km route, let yourself be guided from stop to stop to sample regional specialities in an exceptional natural setting.

Throughout the day, winemakers, restaurant owners and local partners will introduce you to their products in a friendly atmosphere, with musical entertainment throughout.

 

The gourmet walk :

  • Crêt du Midi (9.00 am – 10.30 am): coffee & croissant

  • Buvette de Tsartsey (10.00 am – 12.00 pm): Valais platter and alphorn entertainment

  • Chiesso (10.30 am – 1.00 pm): game speciality prepared by caterer Arnaud Bruttin

  • La Lé refreshment stand (11.00 am – 3.00 pm): raclette

  • Refuge du Bisse (2.00 pm – 4.00 pm): coffee with a splash of liqueur, courtesy of the La Lé refreshment stand

  • Buvette du Lavioz (3.00 pm – 8.00 pm): dessert, digestif and live music

  • The participation fee includes all tastings as well as a glass of wine paired with each culinary stop (or a soft drink).

  • Location: Crêt-du-Midi – Vallon de Réchy – Bisse de Vercorin – Lavioz
  • Distance: 12.5 km
  • Elevation gain: +82 m / -1,038 m
  • ​A free shuttle bus runs between the Refuge du Bisse and Lavioz from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
  • As places are limited, booking is essential.
